Anyhoo…CV had been asking to pick my brains on camera on the topic of the planetary hymns for awhile, so one evening, with trusty Greek translation notebooks in hand, I dove in and did a two-hour overview of each Orphic Hymn to the planets (including the Sun and Moon ofc!)
By now if you’ve been following me, you KNOW how the Orphic Hymns give us deep, juicy insights into each planet in our cosmos—and how the esoteric content as well as the tone of the original Greek tends to get watered down in many translations. So you won’t be surprised to find that when we dive into the hymns, our conversation got real juicy real fast. CV is brilliant at asking just the right question to dig into the depths, while also keeping it light, fun, and approachable.
