Mark your Calendars: The Hymn to Hygeia (Health) and a Live Chat!

This is gonna be a big one, folks. Hygeia (Health) may not sound like the sexiest hymn around, but as anyone who has found themselves trying to breathe in the midst of a common cold knows, we underestimate the goddess Health at our own peril. There’s nothing like sickness to make us appreciate just how much we take good health for granted.

And as someone with disability brought on by chronic illness, this hymn has come to play a very special role in my life. And funnily enough, it’s NOT that I pray this hymn desperately every day in order to be “relieved” of my illness (though no shade to those who feel compelled to do that — sometimes illness is a real pain in the ass).

Rather, what this hymn has taught me, and what I hope to teach you, is just how BROAD and FUNDAMENTAL Health is when understood Orphically. She is SO much more than the absence of illness.

Indeed, Hygeia is the embodied SOUL of Orphic fractal animism.

I’ll write more when I release the Hymn to Hygeia later this week. For now, I just wanted to alert you to the fact that if you can make the Live Chat, please try to, because this one is going to be SO FULL OF ESOTERIC CONTENT! Every once in awhile one of the hymns pops out as (perhaps unexpectedly?) laden with esoteric import, and this is one of them. Be there, or be square (which is a geeky esoteric Pythagorean joke, because as you’ll see next Sunday, Hygeia is never a square, but is always hexagonal).
