Business first: This Sunday, 7/13/25 at 2pm EDT we’ll have a Live Chat on this new hymn translation. (Link below) A recording will be available in the coming week for those who can’t make it live.
On July 26th I’ll be partnering with IAAM (the International Association of Astrological Magic) to give a free talk on reconstructing the magical rituals of the Orphic Hymns. Be on the lookout for the details soon!

It’s thunderstorm season here in Brooklyn, and Zeus Keraunios is making Himself felt. (Or maybe it’s Uranus in Gemini, or maybe it’s both/and, in that Orphic non-dual way we know and love.)
Nearly every evening there is some form of heat lightning or summer thunderstorm, and my chronically ill body, which feels like it has no barrier between my insides and the external weather, has been dizzyingly, vertiginously at one with the slothful daytime air and electrically charged nights.
My head has been spinning, my blood pressure dropping every time I stand up, and it’s been a challenge to get this post written in time for the Live Chat scheduled for this Sunday.
So I’m going to do something I rarely do and post this translation without any significant written commentary, other than a single explanatory note about a gap in the manuscript text.
Like Zeus Keraunios Himself, this translation will descend from the aethers in a single strike into your inbox.⚡️
When we meet at the Live Chat on Sunday, we’ll have time to unpack it all, but till then, my Long Covid brain is best kept away from screens.
Yours in these dizzying times,
⛈️ Kristin
