Interesting! For a long time I didnt want to work with Algol because I felt like as a straight/white/male I might be seen as trespassing somehow.... (not that "I" felt I would be trespassing, but that others might, and that would leave me with a target on my back)

Then one night I was out observing the Perseid meteors, and I had the insight that the meteors were shooting from the place of Medusa's head, and that this could be seen as reflective of the energy that emerged from her in the form of Pegasus. And it was at the moment that She spoke to me, congratulated me on my insight, and invited me to work with Her! :-O

Since then I have had the feeling that all these serpent constellations (Draco, Hydra, Algol, Ophiucus -and perhaps also the Lunar Nodes/Eclipses) together might represent different facets of some kind of overarching "complex" of how we deal with earth/water/feminine energies of the unconscious and learning to harness the wisdom of our early "reptilian brain" etc.

I say all this because I think this might have something to do with how you often tell us that the early Greeks didnt think the way we do -like maybe they were still in touch with this more primordial way of being which these serpentine energies represent

Yes to all of this! I love the story of the Perseids—they are among the explicitly named “star-worms” in the Avestan (Zoroastrian) texts. Such fascinating through-lines running through all these texts and stories. I’m always so amazed/humbled by how the Orphic wellspring continues to nourish us. ❤️🌎
