Astrologically, this makes perfect sense as Venus is the benefic of Nocturnal charts. So Night being of the nature of Aphrodite is baked into the Hellensitic lens. And experientially, it occurs to me that since we are primates, Night has always been when we huddle together for protection and warmth. So this notion is bound in our genes from millions of years of evolution that Night IS love and unity. Perhaps thats part of why it feels so profound
Yes to all of this! I believe the Hellenistic association of Venus and the nocturnal chart is in large part due to this earlier Mystery tradition that astrology grew out of. And I love thinking about the primal hearth fire as love. That’s very much how I think of Hestia—the cosmic hearth fire to which we all return. (Or rather, around which we always already are present…we just need to remember.)
